Achva Academic College has been maintaining only virtual remote learning since March 18, 2020, due to Covid-19 restrictions.
Subject to our policy and vision – to make higher education accessible to everyone, we have invested substantial time and resources efforts to continue, almost "as usual," the academic activities. Our students successfully completed all semester syllabus commitments including on-line exams.
Achva immediately responded to the Covid-19 new reality. The IT department established an online technical support center, while the Dean of Students office has offered human mental and psychological assistance to everyone in need.
The academic and administrative staff at Achva helped students to bridge a multitude of technological gaps associated with virtual remote learning.
Due to poorly developed internet infrastructure in some Bedouin populated areas in the Negev, Achva allowed some Bedouin students to enter the campus to use local PC's and other communication devices to continue their study without interruption.
The lack of advanced internet infrastructure and the absence of personal computers at home, combined with the inability to attend college due to medical issues, lockdown, or other reason, provided us with the impetus to supply laptops to students in need.
At Achva
NO STUDENT LEFT BEHIND
The association for Partnership and Coexistence in the Negev
donated laptops to 17 students who study at Achva Academic College
Similar to all other worldwide academic institutions,
Achva maintains only virtual remote learning due to Covid-19 restrictions.
At Achva we do not leave any student behind; the 17 students (so far) who were gifted the computers are now able to participate in their classes using a PC,
rather than their smart phones.
Kindly help us supply more laptops to our students who are in need
Substantial thanks to
Dr. Yunes Abu Rabia,
Chairman of the Board of
The association for Partnership and Coexistence in the Negev
for his ongoing commitment and dedication to improvement in the Education level among the Bedouin community in the Negev.
